Crossroads ahead

With everything going on and the quests continuing, I had some things to consider this week.

I'm too late to start classes this semester, so the Education Quest will continue in January (2012). The plan is full-time employment on top of full-time education on top of my family/household responsibilities. With my transfer credits from my AA and credits from other schools, along with my determination and hard work, I hope to finish out my BA sometime in 2013. From there, I will continue on immediately to my MS.

In the Parenthood Quest, we will continue on the current path until January 2013 unless other things come up.

The foreseeable crossroad comes up January 2013 when I have been in school for a year and will have a better idea of a graduation date and hopefully better career options (with benefits that would better-enable us in the Parenthood Quest). With that much time (from now) and the possibility of information available then, we would be better equipped to decide about the direction we want to go on this Parenthood Quest, IF nothing has changed or happened by then. HOWEVER, we do hope and pray that God will open doors and affect things in such a way that we don't necessarily have to wait that long.

We just want to allow enough time for the current path of the Parenthood Quest to allow fair opportunities without giving up all hope. However, eventually we will need to consider alternatives like foster parenting, adoption, IVF, surrogacy, etc. Funding and insurance obviously affect these alternatives, which is another reason to give this some time before considering pursuing.

So... anyway... that is where things stand right now. Given our particular situation, we want to just continue on our current path for this reasonable amount of time, then consider whether we want to continue on this path more or try some other paths. We shall see, we shall see!
